Built with a Perce Engineering right bolt left port custom competition action, Shilen 2 ounce 3 lever trigger, 32 inch long 1.45 inch diameter straight Krieger stainless steel barrel, Bill Shehane coyote laminate benchrest heavy gun stock with 4 inch wide fore end and barrel block. The stock was developed by Bill Shehane and used at the original Pensylvania 1000 yard benchrest club with both the barrel AND action fully floated for the ultimate in precision. Chambered in 300 Weatherby with a 334 thou' neck the rifle includes a custom reamer made by Manson Precision, go and nogo gauges, 50 Nosler and 60 Norma neck turned and fire formed cases, Forster ultra micrometer seater die, Forster full length die, Redding type S neck die with titanium nitride bushing, threaded case for Hornady OAL gauge, windage adjustable front rest to suit the 4 inch fore end, Sightron 10-50x60 scope and a case large enough to fit this very large rifle. It's chambered to suit 210-230 grain projectiles and with 78 grains of AR2217 or 80 grains of AR2225 behind a 230 grain Berger comfortably achieves a muzzle velocity of 2950fps making for some very impressive ballistics. Like many of my custom rifles after it was built I only fired a couple of hundred rounds before losing interest and it has been a safe queen for a decade with the throat of the barrel still in excellent competitive condition.
