Kimber 89 BGR .270 Winchester – Rare Early Production Model

A classic example of a true hunting rifle — the Kimber 89 BGR (Big Game Rifle) chambered in .270 Winchester.

This rifle was inherited and has spent its life well cared for; it’s simply too nice for me to use, yet too fine a rifle to leave sitting in the safe.

Fewer than 5,000 Kimber 89 BGRs were ever produced. Based on the legendary Winchester Model 70 Pre-64 action, the 89 BGR is widely regarded as one of the smoothest Mauser-style bolt actions ever made.

This particular rifle comes from the first production run, with serial number 890260 — the 260th rifle built in 1989.

Includes a Leupold 4–12x40 scope mounted with Talley rings.
