RARE and CASED and Near New condition. Made at the Musgrave factory in South Africa. It is an Anglo-Boer War Commemorative Mauser bolt action Plezier rifle, commissioned by the War Museum of Boer Republics. This is one of 10 different rifles made to commemorate 10 different battles of the Anglo Boer war. No two are the same.
Made in 1986 as per the date on the barrel. Serial number for this rifle is “03” in calibre 7x57; 28inch tapered octagonal barrel; near new bore; wedge mounted and key adjustable blade front sight, tangent rear sight with graduations to 1100m; blue/black finish to metal. Floor plate, trigger guard, action and barrel ends are profusely engraved with foliate & acanthus design, with elaborate border Gold inlay.
