Belgian FN training rifle made in 1952. Only 1000 of these are reported to have been manufactured by FN, with 500 being for the army in a black paint (as this one is), and the other 500 being for the Belgian Navy in a grey paint. Matching numbers throughout with very good finish to metal and woodwork, aside from a couple of small storage marks. Receiver stamped ABL 52 with both a standard tangent leaf sight graduated to 200 meters and an aperture sight screwed to the charger bridge, as is correct. 
These trainers are very rare and sort after mainly due to being manufactured from full sized 24/30 FN Mauser actions. The bolt is a standard M98 Bolt, modified with a removable bolt head containing the firing pin. Barrel is bright with sharp lands, sitting at about 90%
