Collectors grade M39 1968 7.62x54R Sako, hexagonal receiver, matching bolt, all in excellent condition. Complete with M39 Civil Guard SK.Y bayonet and matching issued sheath, blade is marked OY.VELJEKSETKULMALA A.B. with SK.Y on reverse side. Weapons Depot 3 (AV3) manufactured and assembled approximately 2,300 in 1968 to a very high standard. In typical Finnish manner many of the parts (receivers, grand majority of bolt parts, magazine components) used for manufacturing rifle M/39 were recycled parts from earlier Mosin-Nagant rifles since 1920. Large scale production of rifle M/39 ended year 1945, but smaller scale production from existing (and often previously unfinished) parts continued until the early1970's.
