Make an offer - The price is negotiable - The buyer assumes the cost of freight & transfer - I can provide extensive images of the longarm upon request --- A very old girl with quite a lot of history in her (Over 100 years old). There are numerous stampings and etchings on the metal of the rifle. From what I have gathered and researched; this rifle was originally a Sht.LE (Short magazine SMLE) that served in WW1, later in WW2 it was converted to a MK.III SMLE with a new Heavy Barrel installed. It seems to have also performed post-war service, and was then later transferred to the Victorian Cadets Academy. At some point in its life, I believe around the 70s-80s the original timber was removed and replaced to a sporterised version (sad, I know.). When I acquired the rifle from an older gentleman I refinished the timber and removed any blemishes, to a chestnut finish. The metal however is all original and matching, no mismatch of parts or numbers. There is noticeable wear on the original blue, but this is from a long life of use - otherwise there is no slack or loose tolerance in the action, parts, or trigger, everything feels smooth like glass and it has never once failed or jammed in my use.
