Bought this for a project that has changed direction. The small 3 port muzzle brake is well fitted to the barrel, and probably slows recoil. The steel Badger Ordnance rail is a perfect choice for a fast mover like this. Made in Feb 2010, this 300 RUM hasn't done much work so the bore looks new, the guy I bought it from said less than 3 boxes of factory ammunition and that matches wear.
