BSW Suhl Model 317k Single Shot Training/Sport Rifle made in Germany just prior to the second world war. These rifles are quite rare, it was manufactured approximately in 1932-1948, but the stampings on the rifle suggest at an earlier date closer to 1932, the rifle has an SSU Stamped buttplate which is unusual, the barrel and other markings are BSW Suhl. The rifle itself is in fair condition, the metalwork is in rather good condition although the bluing has worn, the bore is also good. Woodwork has quite a few marks/scuffs. It also has both a rear and front sight, flag/mauser style safety. Simson & Co later to be known as BSW Suhl produced both training/sport rifles, like this one, and the famous M/G-98 and K-98 Rifles.
