Comment: Massachusetts Arms Wesson & Leavitt S.A. percussion revolver: 32 cal; 6 shot cylinder; 5” (128mm) round barrel with f. to g. bore, sharp rifling throughout with scattered surface oxidation scale throughout; revolver bearing much of its original finishes incl. vivid case colours to areas of frame & patchy blueing to barrel with a plum patina to remainder; half of cylinder with strong blued finish, other half with plum patina; back strap & trigger guard with thinning blued finish over silver plating; roll stamped pattern to cylinder crisp, light scroll engraving to lockplate & hammer; MASS ARMS CO over faint CHICOPEE FALLS stamped to top strap, WESSON & LEAVITT'S PATENT to lock; action functioning & cylinder indexing is crisp; two piece smooth walnut grips in vg. cond, retaining most of the original varnish finish; overall in g. to vg. wo & vg. cond. #319 Pre 1900. A nice honest example of a fascinating little revolver
