Cooper Firearms Navy Revolver 36 cal; 5 shot cylinder; 6” (152mm) octagonal barrel with g. bore, shiny overall with some oxidation scale & fine pits peppered mainly through grooves; original blued finish to barrel, thinning with plum patina developing; mottled grey patina to thinning blued finish on cylinder, some traces of case colours to frame; mellow bronze colour to brass trigger guard & straps; top of barrel flat crisply marked with three line COOPER FIRE ARMS MFG. CO. FRANKFORD PHILA. PA. over PAT. JAN. 7, 1851 APR 25, 1854 SEP. 4, 1860 over SEP 1, 1863 SEP. 22, 1863; matching serial no. marked to underside of barrel, top of loading lever & butt of brass backstrap; action working well, indexing correctly in s.a. & d.a., strong sears & springs; some screw heads burred; loading lever has a repair join 1” from latch stud; g. smooth walnut grips with 60% of their varnished finish remaining, some handling marks; overall in vg. wo & g. to vg. cond. #2965 Pre 1900
