Allen & Wheelock S.A. percussion belt revolver: 36 cal; 6 shot cylinder; 5” (127mm) octagonal barrel; with f. bore, moderate pitting throughout, rifling defined; grey steel finish to metalwork, plum patina to lhs of revolver; externally metalwork has some scattered peening, vice marks and some fine pitting patches; lhs of barrel flat marked with ALLEN & WHEELOCK address & patents, faint but legible in most areas; serial no. marked to lhs of frame under grips, both grips, cylinder & under loading lever; mechanically vg. cylinder, indexing exc, strong springs & sears; loading lever serves as front of trigger guard; smooth walnut grips present v. well, one grip pair to lh grip; overall in g. wo & f. to g. cond. #27 Pre 1900
