Comment: Percussion cap revolver 36 BP, 6 shot cylinder; round barrel with g. bore, sharply defined rifling with some small patches of frosting & internal tooling ring scuffs; mottled plum patina to metalwork, some scattered patches of light pitting to most surfaces; Western Arms Co N.Y. stamped to top of barrel, partially obscured by band of pitting; defined eagle motif roll stamped to half of cylinder, other half hidden by fine pitting; g. action with strong springs & sears, cylinder indexing fine; 559 over with parallel stamped 1 to underside of frame, 59 engraved to loading lever; loading lever appears to have been refurbished or a subtle replacement; smooth walnut with patchy varnish finish, some light bruising to both & small chip to rh grip; overall in g. wo & f. to g. cond.
