DOUBLE TRIGGER BELT MOD. PERCUSSION REVOLVER: 36 cal; 6 shot cylinder; 5” (128mm) round barrel; bore internally caked with oxidation scale, rifling still appears well defined where visible; dark plum patina to metalwork with patchy red oxidation externally, some pitting patches to most surfaces; some unusual gouges to barrel, the longest being 1/2", two to lhs of barrel & two to rhs; no visible makers or patent marks; top strap has been broken with replacement metal used to repair; lock with strong main spring & strong sear, cylinder with back & forth slop on axis, indexing occasionally; nipples in p. cond, broke or heavily corroded; smooth walnut grips in f. to g. cond, some older handling scuffs to both, some peening to butt area; lh grip quite dark with oil stains; overall in p. cond. S/N 183. Pre 1900. A rare little pistol that would grade up with some delicate cleaning & repair work
