Firearm manufactured for the South African market by S. Wright & Son’s under the trademark ‘Hillsdon & Hillsdon’ for Hawkes & Co. between 1919-1921. During the interwar years, Hawkes & Co. exported this model to South Africa under the trade name, ‘South African Gun Works – Birmingham & Cape Town’. This cape gun features a Greener cross-bolt design with a 30” barrel in a SxS configuration, and adjustable and flip-up rear sights. This firearm is in great condition, chambered for accessible calibers, and is mechanically sound. Honest solid and difficult to find example. Please contact for additional photos.
