This SLR was manufactured in Lithgow in 1963 and according to the SLR reference book by the highly respected Ian Skennerton was issued to the Australian Army in that year. It would have been in service throughout the Vietnam war and would have almost certainly seen active service. The rifle is in very good to excellent condition, feels tight, is accurate with an excellent bore and cycles perfectly. A great original rifle with a sound military history.
