With over 1350 rounds of ammunition, this Howa 1500 .223 Varmint, 24” heavy barrelled, blued finish rifle (with alloy pillar bedded black hogue stock) was purchased to use for target shooting on the 500 yard range built on our farm.

I was determined to pair it with the Sig-Sauer Whiskey 5, 3-15 x 52  Illuminated Hellfire Triplex scope. This turned out to be no easy task because the Whiskey 5, 3-15 x 52 was a restricted export item out of the US. It took months of paperwork but turned out to be worth all the effort.

It is a truly magnificent combination and when the ADI (Buffalo River) 55gr Sierra BlitzKing is added to the combination, the accuracy is breath-taking. It shoots the Hornady and PMC very accurately too.

We decided to retire from the farm not long after this purchase and the rifle has not been used since. It has had very little use and is in mint condition.

Also included in this package are 1357 rounds of .223 REM. (1099 rounds of the ADI 55gr BlitzKing, 80 rounds of the PMC Bronze 55 gr and 178 rounds of the Hornady 55 gr V-Max).

Also included are a cleaning rod, cleaning probes, mops and brushes (nylon and brass), a universal cleaning bore guide with AR-15 adaptor,
2 x MTM 50 round Case-Gard boxes and a suppressor barrel aligning rod. Lastly, a LOWE bolt protection sleeve.

There is also a ballistics cap that was made to order by Sig-Sauer for when the Whiskey 5 scope is mounted on my CZ452 Ultra Lux for long range .22 shooting. Calculated for CCI ballistics.

For accurate shooting in .223, this would be very hard combination to beat, a joy to use. $3500 or nearest fair offer. This is very good value for the whole package.
