Comment: This is a faithful reproduction of a Norwegian K98K F2 rifle. After WW2 the Norwegian's came into possession of quite of few German K98's. In the 1950's, most were reworked and chambered into 30-06. These rifles were given a F1 designation. Later some were reworked and chambered into 7.62 nato and given a F2 designation.
This rifle is a reproduction of the later F2 variant. This rifle was built from the ground up, not an Israeli conversion. M98 doner action, new barrel, K98k stock and with genuine used Norwegian trigger guard and rear sight. The trigger guard has been stretched to accommodate a 30-06 cartridge, and the rear sight has been ground to a "U" notch instead of a "V". A square front sight replaces the barley corn. There are a few clips on youtube about these rifles and a good one is on channel Forgotten Weapons as it inspired me to build this one. Most of the markings on this rifle are correct however some do differ as the original font is different. I have shot this rifle many times in service matches and I have found the sight picture to be much better for my older eyes. The condition of this rifle I would describe as very good to good.
