I’m letting go of my Bergara Carbon Crest chambered in 6.5 PRC. It’s in excellent condition, with only 58 rounds fired—easy to track since I started with 100 cases and still have 42 unused. This rifle has never been taken hunting, only brought out of the safe a couple of times for range sessions. Each outing was limited to careful three-shot strings to preserve barrel life, and it’s been thoroughly cleaned after every use.

The rifle features a 24" Cure Carbon barrel, Bergara’s carbon-wrapped design that keeps weight down while maintaining rigidity and accuracy. It’s a well-balanced rifle that’s easy to carry and quick to point, and the break makes it a pussycat to shoot.  Mine has shown a particular liking for the 143-grain ELD-X bullets, shooting them consistently well.

It’s been more of a safe queen than anything else, and while I’ve enjoyed owning it, I don’t see myself giving it the use it deserves. If you’re looking for a Carbon Crest that’s practically new, this one might be a good fit.
