Comment: ONO. A rare Brazilian Mosquetão M968 Mauser rifle chambered in .308 Winchester and assembled in Brazil by Fábrica de Itajubá in the 1960's. This is one of only 10,000 M968 rifles estimated to have been made by Itajubá using original German-made receivers from their earlier contract Mauser rifles. Its design incorporates elements from the HK G3 and FN FAL rifles, which earned it the nickname 'Mosquefal.' This includes a G3-style front and rear sight, as well as an FAL's muzzle brake. This was to allow Brazilian soldiers at the time to train on the new 7.62mm calibre and train on sights similar to the new rifles before they arrived. Postage available at buyer's expense.
