It was used alongside the Gewehr 98 and the Kar98, the predecessor to the infamous K98. The action was considered revolutionary at the time, as it utilised a linear straight-pull action as opposed to a conventional bolt action. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan class=\"s1\" style=\"font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody;\"\u003eUnfortunately, the M95 was phased out of official service around the beginning in the early 30s due to manufacturing costs, the complexity of production compared to a standard bolt action, and the increasingly obsolete low-capacity en-bloc system.
