Comment: Very good condition, all matching M41 Carcano with a 9/10 bore. The metal work on the bolt is worn, but the rest of the metalwork is in excellent condition with blueing intact. The wood is also in very good condition, with minimal dings and bumps but does have a bit of wood cut cleanly cut away just past the ladder sights. I have fired approximately 150 rounds using correct .267-8" bullets and this rifle performed 1.5-2 MOA groups at 200m at it's best. Prior to shooting I conducted my own repairs on this rifle - installing a magazine spring to allow Mannlicher clips, which has worked flawlessly. However this rifle is well suited for the collector. According to information from https://www.carcanorifle.com/, this rifle's serial number and place of manufacture (QC 1788 - Armaguerra) has it build in 1943 just prior to the 1943 Italian Armistace. Amid the chaos of Italy 1943, arsenals were flung open for all to grab and M41s were seen in both fascist collaborators (R.S.I), partisans or even German rear-line troops. Although it's owner (or owners) cannot be verified, the presence of Fabbrica d'Armi Terni (FAT) 1947 on the buttstock indicates an Italian post-war involvement, i.e it's probable this rifle never left the Italian mainland. If you're a shooter, collector or both, this rifle will be a definite hit. This has been one of my favourite rifles in my collection. If interested, please note the buyer will pay postage. More photos are available upon request. The rifle has a 4UT stamp, which according to https://carcanorifle.weebly.com/carcano-markings.html, "After the German occupation of September 8th 1943, Beretta and other private factories still needed their productions to be properly inspected and tested, so the German leadership, with their italian collaborators, inspected and marked these productions with the old Gardone Val Trompia Proofhouse stamp (rampant lion in a circle, with a crown) first, and with the 4UT stamp at a second time (WaA 162 is also present on guns produced in the Brescia region)." This means the rifle could be in fact, an R.S.I or German occupier owned firearm.
