Comment: This rifle was manufactured at Lithgow factory in 1941 and has had a factory overhaul ( FTR) during its service with the receiver stamped accordingly. It has also had a Lithgow heavy barrel fitted and the bore is in excellent condition. The bolt, receiver and nosecap numbers are all matching. The woodwork overall is in very good condition however some woodwork near the safety catch has been removed at some point to make room for the fitting of a central sight, indicating possible range usage. Overall a great piece of Australian military history at a very competitive price.
