Comment: The best single action revolver ever made. The Freedom Arms Model 83 are the highest regarded revolvers available. This is a very rare "Packer" model that was designed as a self defence side arms for Grizzly Bears. There are very few "Packers" in circulation and this is likely to be the only one in Australia. There are likely less then a dozen "Packers" in 454 that were made with an octagonal barrel and as such this is a very rare and highly collectible example. Although the "Packer" is no longer a standard offering by Freedom Arms, they can be special ordered. Replacement cost is approximately US$4327 (US$3518 for a Premier Grade 83, US$725 for the octagonal barrel and US$84 for the ebony micarta grips). In Aussie dollars you would be looking at a cost over $8000 by the time currency conversions, import/export fees and taxes are added. Included is the Trijicon RMR red dot which alone costs $1000, making this a great investment for the few who have the correct licence category to own this handgun.
